Goals and perspectives

Haft Tappeh and Tchogha Zanbil World Heritage Base was first established with the purpose of restoring Dūr Untaš city, mainly its ziggurat and massive constructions, and giving a better introduction about it to the world. Having executed preliminary plans, new opportunities gradually arose for investigation, preservation and introduction of this world heritage, and further, its cultural context. New attitudes and modern approaches to the country’s cultural heritage as well as universal experiences formed more profound perceptions of the ancient sites. Such perceptions caused the goals, perspectives, and fields of activities to broaden gradationally.
